Strategy and Planning To Achieve Your 12-Week Goals.
In today’s post and video, we’re covering planning and actions to help you achieve your 12-week goals.
Before we start, if you haven’t seen the first 2 videos about getting rid of annualized thinking and the benefits of 12-week thinking, you’ll find the links to those 2 videos below this video.
“The greatest predictor of your future is your daily actions.”
If you want to understand your current situation, look at your daily actions.
If you want to know where you’re going to be in your business 12 weeks from now, look at what you’re doing each day.
Every result is created by an action.
Now, knowing that, your 12-week plan should focus on ONLY 1 to 3 goals.
What are the most important goals for your personal and business growth?
Think carefully about the answer to that question, because you’re going to focus ONLY on those 1 to 3 goals, and you’ll ignore everything else.
Next is your strategy.
What are you going to do over the next 12 weeks to achieve your goal? What steps are you going to take?
Once you decide on the strategy or steps you’re going to take, you’ll break things down further to a weekly plan.
You’re going to layout the exact actions you need to take each week and each day of each week, to complete your action plan for the 12 weeks.
NOTE: Your weekly plan is not simply a to-do list.
Instead, it’s the critical actions from your 12-week plan that need to get done this week to implement your strategy.
Consistent daily action is going to move you towards your goal.
Nothing else will.
Let’s recap.
Your 12-week plan should focus on ONLY 1 to 3 of the most important goals for your personal and business growth and development.
Once you’ve set those goals, you lay out the strategy, or steps to take over the next 12 weeks to achieve your goals.
From those steps, you break down your strategy into a weekly action plan of the steps you’ll take each week to achieve your 12-week goals.
In the next post and video, we’ll look at an example of a 12-week plan to achieve 3 goals.
Thanks for reading and watching and have a great day.
